Roberta Jane (Lumpkin) Crenshaw

Roberta Jane (Lumpkin) Crenshaw, age 70, of New Haven, entered into eternal life on Sunday April 1, 2018 in YNHH. Born on August 1, 1947, in New Haven, daughter of the late James and Emma (Lopez) Lumpkin Sr. Cherished mother of Michael Crenshaw and Eric Crenshaw both of New Haven. Beloved grandmother of Michael, Lamont Crenshaw both of New Haven, and Cire’Alyse Crenshaw of West Haven. Loving sister of James (Linda) Lumpkin Jr. of New Britain and Patricia Nmah of New Haven. Roberta worked at the U.I. Company for over 33 years. She attended Christian Tabernacle Baptist Church for over 30 years. Roberta was a faithful, giving person, who enjoyed traveling, and loved her music.

A Celebration of Roberta’s life will be held on Thursday April 12, 2018 in Christian Tabernacle Baptist Church, 425 Newhall St., Hamden at 11 a.m. Viewing in Church from 10-11 a.m. Interment will follow in Hamden Plains Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed at colonialfunerals.com
