Roslyn Bradley Ferguson

Our dearly beloved Ms. Roslyn Bradley Ferguson has passed on to her eternal rest on Oct. 5, 2021 while residing at

the RegalCare Nursing Home in West Haven, CT. Roz or Radear as she was affectionately called by those who knew and loved her was born on Feb. 24,1950 in New Haven Ct., the daughter of Roscoe and Lucillle Bradley.

Roz always sought out ways in which she could give and help out others in need. At the tender age of 13 Roz decided to volunteer at Waterbury Hospital as a ‘Candy Striper’ bringing joy and comfort to ailing patients throughout the hospital. This began a lifetime of service for Roz as she went on to serve Waterbury community center and finally a 25 year career at Yale University as the Registrar in the Religious Studies Department. She was known as the go-to person in that department whenever there was a problem or any urgent need. She was even known to give Yale students room and board if  needed. Roz served in a similar capacity to her friends and family, always making herself available whenever needed. That was Roz, she was a giver and she always gave.

Roz was predeceased by her mother and father, two older sisters Mrs. Mildred Dennis of Rancho Cucamonga, CA and Mrs Joanne Richardson Cue of Hamden, Ct. Also a brother Mr. Donald C.Bradley of New Haven, Ct. She leaves two sisters Mrs. Evelyn Beasley and Katherine Bradley both of New Haven, Ct. And two brothers, Mr. Jerome Richardson of Waterbury, Ct. and Mr Steve Bradley of New Haven Ct. She also leaves a host of cousins, nieces and nephews, all of whom will miss Roz dearly.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday October 21, 2021 at 12pm at Colonial Funerals 86 Circular Avenue Hamden ct. Visitation will be from 11-12pm. Condolences may be expressed at Colonialfunerals.com.
