Roy E. Pollard Sr. (Biz)

Roy E. Pollard Sr., (BIZ) 72, departed this life to be with his heavenly father on Sunday June 9, 2024. He was born in New Haven, CT. on July 13, 1951, to the late William K. Pollard Sr. and Elizabeth Randolph Pollard.

Roy leaves to cherish his memory, daughter Valdinia I. Pollard and stepdaughter, Shermeka Watkins, both of New Haven, CT. Five grandchildren, Destiny Suggs, Ronnie Ellis, Tomi Henderson, Tomia Henderson and Averi Wells Pollard. One great grand child, Riley Preston, all of New Haven. He also leaves four sisters, Diane Pollard, Cynthia (Ray) Pollard-Frazier, Marilyn Pollard, and Bonitta Pollard, all of New Haven, CT. Five step grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Roy was predeceased by his wife, Marie Watkins-Pollard, a son, Roy D. Pollard, two brothers, William K. Pollard Jr., and Michael Pollard Sr., one sister, Joyce Pollard, and a niece, Toschica Pollard.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 from 9 to 10am at Colonial Funeral Home, 86 Circular Avenue, Hamden, CT. 06514. Funeral service will begin at 10 am.
