Ruth J Bailey, age 78 of Waterbury, CT entered eternal rest on Tuesday March 28, 2023 at St. Mary’s Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Ruth Bailey was born on February 15, 1945 in Greenwood, South Carolina to the late Bessie Moore. She received her education in the Greenwood school system after relocating to Waterbury Ms. Bailey was a self employed licensed day care worker at her home for 12 yrs and she was employed by St. Vincent DePaul shelter, Howard Johnson Hotel and Quality Inn for 15 yrs in domestic services. Mother Bailey loved God faithfully and wholeheartedly she had a deep love, compassion, and strong awesome connection with God church was a major part of her life she walked into her calling and joined Macedonia church she served as an Evangelist, was on the Mother’s Board, she was a intercessory prayer warrior and was a member of the golden girls choir after almost 40 years of serving at Macedonia Church OTLG she continued her ministry and joined Judah Family Christian Center for the last two years she loved her pastor, family, friends and church family she was a phenomenal woman of faith, strength, wisdom, perseverance, belief, and understanding.
She full of joy in her heart every time she was proud and excited to talk about the Lord and the goodness of Jesus everywhere she went she had so much joy in her soul you could just feel the love of God radiating from her heart and spirit whenever you was weather it be talking on the phone, In person, spreading the gospel of God’s ministering to family, friends, neighbors and strangers to draw them closer to the love of God in voice, word and scriptures Ms. Bailey always gave honor, praise and glory to her heavenly father for everything he has done in her life she was an active outgoing member who stayed involved into many programs at the church.
It was a honor and a privilege to watch her growth in the Lord throughput her journey as she prospered naturally and spiritually keeping a good close relationship and connection with her lord and savior Jesus Christ her focus was to stay saved and remain that way and to never let nothing separate her from the love of God and she did just that all the way to the end of her victory.
Ms. Bailey loved her whole entire family and all four of her children beyond measures she was Kindhearted caring, loving, giving, outspoken, thankful and very grateful she was a marvelous amazing person and woman of God she was definitely someone special you can count on to do a good deed, if you needed anything if she had it she would bless you in return you could always count on her loving prayers and constantly praying for loved ones, friends, even strangers she didn’t know she loved them as well to she was always willing to reach those in need.
She enjoyed celebrating grandparent’s day spending lots of time with her family talking and laughing opening up gifts having a good time but most of all she cherished the love and how everyone came together as a family she loved going shopping to some of her favorite stores, going to church and reading her bible was important to her she always wanted to stay connected God she enjoyed cooking and going out to eat at different restaurants with her family and friends, she enjoyed listening to music and singing and she loved to dance and get them feet moving to a good beat.
She was always happy to get her nails painted keeping them up to look nice and beautiful with all her favorite colors was something she loved to do, traveling south to visit family and to see her brother was something special to her because of the bond they both shared her bright personality and funny sense of humor and comical spirit was sure to make u laugh and keep a smile on your face there was never a full moment when being in her presence she leaves a remarkable amazing legacy with all of us to remember and cherish her beautiful spirit, loving heart, faith, and strength left a good mark on all our lives she will forever live in our hearts and forever beloved by her family and will always be our shinning star.
She leaves to cherish her memories to her 2 daughters Brenda Bailey of Waterbury, CT Eunice Clayborn of Georgia and one son Benjamin Bailey of Waterbury, CT, 7 grandchildren Marvin (Chante) Moore, James Hamer of Waterbury, CT Rachael Moore of Waterbury, CT Bernard (Tanya)Bailey of Waterbury, CT Nakeya Bailey of Waterbury, CT Ruth Moore of Waterbury, CT Alicia Bailey of Waterbury CT, 7 grandchildren,15 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren, host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends and her best friend forever sister Freda Padgett. Ms. Bailey was predeceased by her Daughter Doretha Moore of Waterbury, CT four brothers Maxwell Moore, James Moore of Waterbury, CT Tommie Moore, Artie Moore all of Greenwood, south Carolina.
A celebration of Ruth’s life will be held on Saturday April 8, 2023 at Judah Family Christian Center, 55 Store Avenue, Waterbury CT 06705 at 11am. Viewing in Church from 10-11am. James R.
