Samuel Irving Williams

Samuel Irving Williams, age 68, entered into rest on April 1, 2024, At Emory University Hospital midtown GA. Samuel was born on September 8, 1955, in New Haven, Ct., the son of the late Isaiah and Mary (Woods) Williams Sr. He grew up in the Newhallville community. Sam as he liked to be called, graduated high school at Wilbur Cross High School. He went on to pursue his next chapter in life, at the Ct School of Broadcasting and graduated as a sound engineer. He was dedicated to over 30 years of service until he retired, at the Sargents Assa Abloy company. Sam was an advit athlete in high school. He participated in track, and football among other things. His competitive spirit led him to excel in many different sport. Even breaking the city’s pole vaulting record. Among others, Sam love to bowl. Participating through the Hamden and Wallingford bowling leagues, he traveled to several cities such as Reno and Las Vegas Navada. Taking home many trophies. Sam enjoyed racing cars, music, and a real passion for vintage and sport cars. He had a real passion and took great pride in his ability to restore the back into there originally state. Lets not forget though that  he how he love the Dallas Cowboys, New York Knicks, and the Mets. Sam was definitely a super fan. Samuel leaves to cherish his memory a loving brother John L. Daniels, of Wallingford, a loving sister Valerie Pennington of East Haven, two nephews Clifford E. Daniels Jr. of GA., Vincent Dolphin of East Haven, Two nieces Sonia Self(Gregg) NC., Christine Daniels GA., also one devoted sister/cuz, Theresa Ervin, and a host of great nephews, great nieces, cousins, relatives and friends. Samuel was predeceased  by his Two brothers Clifford E Daniels Sr. and Isaiah Williams Jr. and sister in law Jewels Williams.

A Celebration of Samuel’s Life will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024 in Colonial Funerals, 86 Circular Avenue, Hamden at 11am. Viewing in Colonial from 10-11am. Burial to follow at Beaverdale Memorial Park. Condolences may be expressed at www.colonialfunerals.com.
