Shamar Lavante Gibson Sr. September 24, 1997- July 6 2024

Shamar Lavante Gibson Sr. was suddenly called home to be with the Lord on Saturday July 6, 2024. He lived in West Haven, Connecticut. Shamar is survived by his Mother, Antoinette Wilson, his brothers James, Jack, Jaydon, Antonio and Kenmooah Gibson Jr. His father, Kenmooah Gibson Sr. and his loving daughter Brielle Gibson. He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother Cheryl Wilson, paternal grandmother Coral Maddox and his baby boy Shamar Lavante Gibson Jr. Shamar worked as a forklift driver in Automotive. Shamar was into sports and loved playing basketball. He was a big Lakers fan and he loved spending time with his daughter. Shamar will be remembered for his sense of humor and always being able to make others smile and laugh. Although Shamar is no longer here with us, his spirit will always remain in our hearts. May he rest in everlasting peace.

A Celebration of Shamar’s life will be held on Friday, August 2, 2024 at 12:00p.m. at Salvation and Deliverance Church 127 Thompson St. New Haven, Ct. Viewing in Church from 11am-12pm. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed at www.colonialfunerals.com
