Shaneka Latanya Woods

Shaneka Latanya Woods, age 38, of Hamden, tragically entered into eternal life on Saturday September 23, 2017 in New Haven.  Born on September 11, 1979 in New Haven, the daughter of Beverly Woods of New Haven and Tommy Lee of Philadelphia.  Cherished mother of Keon Goforth Jr., Marquel Horton and Mekhi Avery all of Hamden.  Beloved sister of Kimberly Woods-Ebron, Alisha Woods, Latoya Woods and Ashley Woods all of Hamden.  Survived by 5 paternal sisters, 4 paternal brothers, loving nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.  She was predeceased by maternal Grandmother Evelena “Nana” Woods.

A Celebration of Shaneka’s life will be on Tuesday October 3, 2017, at Trinity Temple Church of God, 285 Dixwell Ave. New Haven at 10:00 AM.  Visitation will be from 9-10 AM at the church.  Interment will follow in Beaverdale Memorial Park.  Condolences may be expressed at colonialfunerals.com
