Shaniquia Nicole “Nikki” Safford

Shaniquia Nicole “Nikki” Safford was born on March 2, 1984, in Newport News, Virginia, and departed this life on July 18, 2026, in New Haven, Connecticut.

Nikki was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Leonard Safford; her beloved Nana, Roberta “Fuzzy” Trumble; her paternal grandparents, Richard and Regina London; her uncles, Allen London and Richard London III; and her husband, Keyfon Malloy.

She leaves to cherish her memory her maternal grandmother, Danielle Bartol Sliper; her paternal grandmother, Juanita Morton; her mother, Sabrina Safford; her fathers, Erick Morton (Theresa) and Glenn London Sr.; and her children, Marquise Safford, Mariyah Weston, and Mahki Weston.

She is also survived by her siblings, Karen London (Todd), Glenn London II (Nnedima), Destinee London, Alissa Ferguson, EJ Morton, Ericka Morton, Duke Morton, Emira Morton, Emani Morton (John), and Enasia Morton.

Nikki shared special bonds with her godmother, Trina Rountree; her godbrothers, James “Scooter” Rountree, Scott “Scottywat” London, and Jamel James Sr.; her cousin and sister of the heart, Lakisha Thomas; her cousin and brother of the heart, Richard London IV; and her “bestest” friend, April Gibbs. She also leaves beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Nikki graduated from Career Regional High School and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. She loved basketball, cooking, and spending time with family. Known for her loyalty, generosity, and protective spirit, Nikki cared deeply for others. If someone was hungry, she fed them; if they needed shelter, she opened her home; and if they needed support, she stood beside them.

She taught her children that family sticks together, and her love, strength, and compassion will continue to live through them and all who knew her.

Nikki was deeply loved and will never be forgotten.
