Sharon Walker, age 71, of New Haven, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, May 26, 2021. Sharon Williams was born February 3, 1950, in Asheville, North Carolina, and is the firstborn to Frederick and Barbara Williams.
After her father Frederick returned from the Korean War they moved to East Orange, New Jersey
She attended Vailsburg High School, shortly after she went on to have her only child Cassandra Williams and married James Walker
In 1982 Sharon and James migrated to Connecticut
She later became a housekeeper then went on to be a PSA at Yale New Haven Hospital, where she later retired. Sharon was a member of MT. Zion Baptist Church.
Sharon is survived by her grandson James Williams(Evelyn), her granddaughter Jaquedah Williams. Siblings Robert, Frederick, and David Williams, Penelope Suggs (Charles) Harriet Singleton Oames), and Mary Barton (William) Sharon has 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Frederick and Barbara Williams, her husband James Walker, daughter Cassandra Williams and her great-granddaughter Jassandra Williams. Sharon leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and her special friend
Alferd Green.
A Celebration of Sharon’s life will be held on Sunday May 30, 2021 at 2pm at Colonial Funerals 86 Circular Avue Hamden. Viewing will be from 1-2pm. Condolences may be expressed at colonialfunerals.com.
