Sheila D Smith

Sheila D. Smith,77, entered into eternal rest on December 9, 2024 after a lengthy illness. She was born March 30, 1947 in New Haven, Connecticut. Daughter of the late William and Gabrielle Thomas. Sheila worked as a substitute teacher in the New Haven Public school system before entering her 34+ year career in the U. S. Postal Service where she retired as a supervisor. Sheila was one of the Mothers at New Bethlehem Church in New Haven where she was a faithful member until her illness  Sheila was survived by her loving children Karlèf Smith (Anola), Velencia Smith, Grandmother of K-Jay Smith (Alicia), Tyshan Smith (Tiana), Quayshon Sharpe, Diontrè Smith, Shacore Gibbs, Xyaire Smith and one granddaughter Xyeta Smith, she was also survived by six great grandchildren.  Sheila was also a grandmother to three beloved pets Laya, Dallas and Chewy. Sheila was predeceased by her parents, one grandson, Sean, J. Reeves Jr and a great grandson Kayden J. Smith.
