Shirley A. (Addison) Wilson

Shirley A. (Addison) Wilson was called home on January 11, 2024 at the age 77. Shirley was born on April 21, 1946 in St. Stephen, SC. Shirley was the Daughter of the late Ned Addison and Lilas (Scott) Addison. She leaves behind Alfred Wilson Jr. her loving husband of 58 years, 3 children Alfred A. (Tony) Wilson (Denise), Barbara Wilson, and Kevin Wilson. Sisters Margie (Addison) Wright (William), Roberta (Addison) Penn (Billy), 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by son Jack L. Wilson, sister Bernadette (Bernitta) Herbert and brother Izander Addison. Shirley also leaves behind her aunt Fannie Scott, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends. Shirley was a dedicated servant of the Lord who was always willing to lend a helping hand. She was a member of the adult Choir, an usher and fellowship hall kitchen committee at Grace Baptist Church. She was employed with Risdon Manufacturing Co. for over 25 years before retiring. Shirley had a passion for Singing, cooking/baking, family vacations and shopping at her favorite stores. Spending quality time with her loved ones truly bought her joy. She always gave a listening ear to all who sought support.

Calling hour will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2024 10am-11am at Grace Baptist Church 65 Kingsbury St. Waterbury, Ct 06702. Funeral service will follow at 11am. Burial will be in New Pine Grove Cemetery at 950 Meriden Rd Waterbury, CT. Funeral Services have been entrusted to Colonial Funerals of Waterbury and James R. Sanders.
