Tamara Richardson

Tamara Richardson (Tammy) was born on May 22nd, 1976, in New Haven, CT. By Ronald Richardson and Slyvia Matheney Richardson. She attended Eli Whitney and graduated in 1994. She enjoyed and loved what she did for a living, working in the culinary industry. She worked at The University of New Haven for over 25 years.

With the result of plaques and great gratitude from all her colleges and friendships she held dear to her heart, Tamara enjoyed what she did, and for her, that wasn’t work; it was considered her craft. Tamara was compassionate, considerate, selfless, intelligent, charitable, unique, and a beautiful person inside and out. Her smile and dimples lit up the room. She enjoyed her excursions with her family. Family was important to Tamara; she enjoyed family dinners and the company of those close to her. She enjoyed her travels to places such as Puerto Rico, Las Vegas, the Poconos Mountains Region in Pennsylvania, and Tampa, Florida. She had such a nurturing soul that she wanted the best for everyone around her. Tamara was able to experience life as a grandmother, as she had dreamed of being one before even becoming a mother. Tamara will truly be missed and will forever remain in our hearts as the kind soul she is.

Tamara was predeceased by her mother, Sylvia Matheney-Richardson, and brother, Ronald Wayne Richardson Jr. Her Grandmothers Francis Elizabeth Matheney and Carol Diane Dixon-Richardson, Grandfather Harold Victor Richardson, Grandfather Oscar Matheney, and Aunts Francis ‘Poochie* Matheney, Sherry Peanut Matheney, and Jennifer Francis-Richardson. Tamara is survived by her daughter Cara Shanice Trajeski, her granddaughter Madison Ava Guess, her sons Markise Anthony Drayton and Markus Aaron Drayton, and her partner Flyod Little of Hamden, CT. She leaves her father, Ronald “Wayne* Richardson Sr. (Mattie McFadden-Richardson’s stepmother), of Hamden, CT. Her sister, Renee Richardson, of Hamden, CT; Her step-sisters, Georgia and Claudia Richardson. She leaves a host of relatives and friends to cherish her memories. You were the beautiful melody in the rhythm of our lives. The music of your life lives on.
