Terry Anthony Harris, 64 years old, affectionately known as “Turk” of New Haven, CT transitioned into his eternal rest after battling his chronic illness.

He was the son of the late Myrtle J. Anderson and Scott Anderson of Hamden, CT. He was born in New Haven, CT on October 7, 1959.

He is predeceased by his brothers, Lonnie M Harris (Beverly), Scott Anderson Jr. and a sister, Ruby D. Anderson.

He is survived by one daughter, Tiffany Nichols of Waterbury, CT. His siblings, Glenn D. Anderson(Neida) and Michelle J Claxton (Geary) all of West Haven, CT. He also leaves behind to mourn, two grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews, whom he deeply loved.

After his formative educational years in the New Haven Public School System, he then joined the United States National Guards Army Branch. He was stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri in the year of 1980. After completing his duties, he returned to New Haven and gained employment with Hoffman Press until his later years, which he was unable to work.

“Turk” was known for his love of fine clothes and big cars! His favorite pastime was playing cards, bid whist and spades. He loved telling jokes, and reminiscing about the “Good ole days.”

At the time of his sunset, he was a member of the Thomas Chapel Church of Christ in New Haven, CT. Pastored by pastor V Lyons, till his end never wavered with faith and her prayers for him.

He truly will be missed by all who loved him. May he rest in peace.

A Celebration of Terry’s life will be held on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Thomas Chapel Church of Christ, 30 White Street, New Haven, CT. at 11am. Viewing at Church from 10am-11am and Service will follow at 11am. Burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, New Haven, Connecticut. Condolences may be expressed at Colonialfunerals.com.
