Theodis Lovett Sr. 95 of Waterbury, CT entered into external rest on Tuesday , December 17, 2024 at Litchfield Woods Rehabilitation Center in Torrington, CT. Born December 10, 1929 to the late Sandy and Pearl Ann (Holloway) Lovett.

Otis was educated in the Sandersville GA school system. Mr. Lovett had many passions, he enjoyed fishing with sons , listening to the music of his favorite artists Lee Williams . On any given day you will find him watching his favorite western movies , especially his favorite actor Steven Seagal (Niko) is who he called him “never looses a fight” is what he would say.

Mr Lovett was a man of God deeply rooted by his Christian faith. His life had meaning because he loved and was loved . Otis legacy lives in each of us who knew him. Honor Otis by living life with purpose and by making a positive difference into the lives of others. Take every opportunity to tell and show others that you love them. Love leaves a memory no one can steal and wherever a soul has been , there is a trail of beautiful memories

At an early age Theodis left GA and moved to Philadelphia PA later in life relocated to Waterbury, CT where he became a member of Zion Baptist Church and was part of The Male Gospel Chorus under the leadership of Dr . SP Pettaway

Otis held several employment positions in his lifetime Scovill manufacturing, Century Brass and River Glen Healthcare Facility until his retirement. A loving devoted father to his children he leaves to cherish his memories The love of his life of 32 years Evangelist Janice Lovett, Thaddeus (Angela) Lovett of Meriden, CT, Vanessa (Douglas) Lovett-Elliott of NC, Theodis Lovett Jr. of Georgia, David Lovett , Janice (William) McLean, Darryl Lovett, Kimberly (Kevin)Taylor of Waterbury, CT. 40 Grandchildren, 73 Great Grandchildren, 5 brother in laws, 6 Sister inlaws , several Nieces , nephews, cousins and his special friend, his neighbor Ernest Morgan

Otis was predeceased by Ann Baker Lovett (The Mother of his 7 children), a son Sharad Baker, a daughter Jackie Sheppard, 2 brothers and 5 sisters.

A celebration of Leodis’s life will be held on Monday, December 23, 2024 at 11am at Family Worship Center 258 Montoe Road, Waterbury, CT. Viewing from 10am-11am. Interment to follow at New Pine Grove Cemetery 850 Meriden Road, Waterbury, CT. funeral services have been entrusted to Colonial Funerals, 270 West Main Street, Waterbury, CT, and James R.
