Timmy Larry Sweat

Timmy Larry Sweat, affectionately known as "Tim Dog," was born March 20, 1962 and passed peacefully into eternal rest on March 15, 2026. He will be remembered for his strength, his pride, and his bold personality.

A proud United States Army Veteran, Timmy faithfully served his country from 1979-1983. During his military tenure, he was honorably discharged and received several honors, badges, and medals, including recognition as a Sharpshooter with the M-16 rifle, the Overseas Service Ribbon, the Army Service Ribbon, and the Mechanic Badge. Timmy loved shopping, eating Chinese food and gummy bears, and listening to old school Motown music.

He leaves to cherish his memory sisters Audrey Sweat-Maysonet, Rosa Rita Sweat; brother Rocco Sweat (Lisa); a host of nieces and nephews; and special friends Cynthia & Alvarez Ralliford. He was preceded in death by his parents Rose and Jolly Roland Sweat; his brother Randy Sweat; his sister Vicky Sweat.

A celebration of Timmy's life will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at Colonial Funerals, 86 Circular Avenue, Hamden CT, 06514. Viewing will take place from 8:30am to 9:30am with a service to follow at 9:30am. Burial will take place at Beaverdale Memorial Park, 90 Pine Rock Avenue, New Haven, CT.
