Travis Ivan Davis

Travis Davis was born on December 27, 1969, in New Haven, CT, to the late Lisa Marie Davis and Ivey Lee Davis. He will be truly missed by everyone he came into contact with throughout his life, by countless family and friends. Travis was a dedicated and loyal friend to those who knew him. He will be remembered for his courage, charisma, and bravery. When challenged by obstacles in life, his warrior spirit and faith always carried him through. He loved his family and enjoyed hearty soul food meals prepared by his late mother.  All in all, Travis was an outgoing, adventurous person, always ready to take on life’s challenges.

He is survived by his two brothers, Burnnel Jabbar Davis and Ricardo Dubar Davis; nieces and nephews Nassira Davis, Asia Davis, Travis Davis, and Jabbar Davis Jr. Also cherishing his memory are his many aunts, uncles, and cousins: Aunt Patricia Fuller, Uncle Carl Fuller Sr., Alex Holley, Lynnett Fuller, Carl Fuller Jr., Larry Moore, Robin Gaskin, Katrina Gaskin, Robert Gaskin Jr, Susan Green, Sylvia Green, Jimmy Green, Yvonne Green, Lamont Green, and Carmen Green, Johanas Green  Shane Franklin, Aunt Claretha Franklin, Aunt Diane Davis, Uncle Darnell Davis along with many others, including his childhood friends.  Travis is pre-deceased by his grandparents Elizabeth Green, Charles Davis Sr, Ella Mitchell Davis, Aunts Lilian Green, Mary Gaskin, William Green, Harry Green, Charles Davis Jr, Benard (Boobay)Green, Mary Swain Davis and Leroy Davis. We also would like to thank Masjid Al-Islam for its contributions and the entire Islamic community for its support.

A Visitation of Travis Davis’ will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Colonial Funeral Home,  86 Circular Avenue, Hamden, CT., from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and funeral services will follow at 11:30am., in The Masjid Al-Islam, 624 George Street, New Haven. Burial will follow at Garden of Peace Cemetery, in Cheshire ConneCondolences may be expressed at www.colonialfunerals.f Peace Cemetery in Cheshire, Connecticut. com.
