Travis P James

Travis Pierre James, age 47 of New Haven CT was born January 19, 1977 and entered eternal rest June 1, 2024. Son of Mae Helen Felder and the late Ronnie James. Travis was educated in the New Haven Public School System. He was employed by Milford Barrel Co Inc. He also recently purchased a truck and was in the process of becoming an entrepreneur of his own landscaping service. In addition to his mother and father, Travis leaves behind his wife Marya James, oldest daughter Nyzae James, Chloe James and Davinya James. His sisters Dionne (Duane) Jones, Rhonda James, Anika (Virgil) Melvin, Stepsister Lisa Felder and Neshae Dennis. Brothers Javon (Kelisha) James and Clifton (Tamala) Felder. He also leaves his Grandmother Rosie Mae Streater, Nieces Brooklyn James, Tyana Dupree, Tatiana James, Tamia Housley and Noel Melvin Nephews, Diontre Smith, George Ford, Dajour Morrison, Markie James, Bronx James and Troy River Nelson. He leaves a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. He also leaves a special friend Arlene Marquez and Godson Markese Clark, Jr. He was predeceased by his sister Tracey James, grandfathers Walter James and James H. Evans and his grandmother Drucilla James and his stepfather Clifton Felder.

A celebration of Travis’s life will be held on Saturday, June 8th at Trinity Temple, New Haven, CT, 285 Dixwell Ave. New Haven, CT. Calling hours will be held from 12–1pm and the service will begin at 1:00pm. Condolences may be expressed at Colonialfunerals.com.
