In loving memory of Tyquan E. Miller–Torrence unfortunately and unexpectedly returned to the great cycle of life on February 18, 2026. Respectfully known as “Ty” and “Lil Bill,” Tyquan was born May 21st 2004, to Amy Miller and Earl Torrence in New Haven, CT, where he was born and raised.
Since Ty could talk he always was a bold narrator with sound effects, doing voices even acting it out. Very funny and interesting, sometimes even fabricated. Since Tyquan could walk he rode bikes from pedal BMX bikes, dirt bikes and motorcycles from New York City to Philadelphia, where he earned his name “One Way Ty,” and eventually “ 203 Bike Life Ty.”
He graduated from Hillhouse High School in 2022, where he obtained his high school diploma. After high school he took his love for cleanliness serious by achieving his OSHA and fork lift certifications. Shortly after Tyquan became a dedicated Environmental Service Technician at Career High School. On his spare time he maintained his own side hustles by auto detailing and reselling. Tyquan recently achieved one of his main goals this year by having his own apartment. The family celebrated him by having a house warming.
Tyquan had overcame his share of struggles with growth, confidence and a heart of gold. A smile and a compliment that would change your mood as quick as lightning. His name and legacy will continue to live through his sisters, Tanay Jenkins, Tashawnna Miller, Taniya Miller, Loretta Harriana Tam, Beverly and Shirley Diglio-Guerrette, Asia Torrence. And last but certainly not least his one and only nephew, Ki'jor Legacy Tyquan Jenkins.
A celebration of Tyquan's will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Colonial Funerals 86 Circular Avenue, Hamden, CT. Viewing will take place from 10AM to 12PM. Condolences may be expressed at colonialfuenrals.com.
