Tyrese Chapman

Tyrese “Ty” Lamont Chapman, 47 of New Haven passed away on October 23, 2024. Born in New Haven on April 13, 1977. He attended New Haven Public Schools. He is the son of Barbara Chapman and the late Robert “Tiny” Russell. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife Kenyada Person-Chapman, his son(s) Kamarie Chapman, James Graham, brother Kenneth McCoy and sister Olivia Adams. Ty was very close to his predeceased grandmothers Olivia Chapman and Barbara Holloway. Ty’s favorite treat was banana bread. He enjoyed reading, writing, and music especially Sam Cook. We will all miss his infectious smile. Ty is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles cousins and friends.

Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday Evening in Colonial Funerals, 86 Circular Avenue, Hamden, from 4-6pm. Condolence may be expressed at www.colonialfunerals.com.
