Vermell Gallishaw

Vermell Gallishaw, age 67, of New Haven, entered into eternal life on Sunday May 27, 2018 in YNHH. Born on October 2, 1950, in Lanes, S.C., daughter of the late Moses and Valley (Keyes) Gallishaw. Cherished mother of Valerie Gallishaw-Myles, Jada, Jeffrey, Jacqueline Gallishaw all of New Haven. Longtime companion of Anwar Zaheer-El of New Haven. Survived by 10 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 1 sister, 4 brothers. Predeceased by one son James Gallishaw, one grandson Levi Gallishaw, and three brothers.

A Celebration of Vermell’s life will be held on Wednesday June 6, 2018 in Varick Memorial AME Zion Church, 242 Dixwell Avenue at 11 a.m. Viewing in Church from 10-11 a.m. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed at colonialfunerals.com
