Veronica Lorraine Saucier

Veronica Lorraine Saucier, age 73, of New Haven, Connecticut, passed away on Monday June 12, 2023 at Yale New Haven Hospital. She was born on October 18, 1949 in New Haven, Connecticut, to the late Louis and Maude (Wiley) Saucier. She attended New Haven Public Schools and was a graduate of the former Richard C. Lee High School. Previously she was employed at the Duncan Hotel and would do homecare from time to time. Her all-time favorite pastime was playing cards, especially spades.

Veronica was predeceased by her daughter Ronnice Saucier; son, Revon Saucier; twin brother, Donald Saucier and sister; Nancy Mack.

She leaves to cherish her memories her son Lamar Saucier; brother Dennis (Linda) Saucier both of New Haven, brother-in-law Richard L. Mack of Clifton Forge, Virginia, grandsons; Dawayne Daniels, Xavion Saucier, Revon Saucier, Lamar Saucier Jr., and Lamar A. Taylor; granddaughters, Ronisha Saucier, Legacy Saucier and Jayla Saucier; 1 great granddaughter, Nevaeh Cox and 1great-grandson Layton Saucier all of New Haven, Connecticut.  Also survived a very special cousin; Patricia Sturdivent of Cheraw, South Carolina. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A Celebration of Veronica’s life will be held on Tuesday June 27, 2023, at Colonial Funerals, 86 Circular Avenue, Hamden at 11am. Viewing in Colonial from 10-11am. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in New Haven. Condolences may be expressed at colonialfunerals.com .
