Vincent Arnold Davis

Mr. Vincent Arnold Davis, age 66, peacefully departed this life on July 11, 2025. Born on October 19, 1959, to the late Samuel Davis Jr. and Helen M. (Payne) Davis, Vincent was raised in the close-knit community of Waterbury. Vincent was a member of the Mt Olive A.M.E. Zion Church, where he served faithfully as an acolyte during his youth.

A bright and dedicated young man, he attended Wilby High School where he was the Class President and a member of the track team. Vincent’s passion for sports continued throughout his life, marked by his avid love for tennis. Following his high school education, Vincent pursued higher studies at Connecticut College, demonstrating his commitment to personal growth.

A hardworking and enterprising individual, Vincent successfully owned and operated his own small used car business, earning the respect and admiration of his peers and clients alike. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Vincent’s greatest joy came from spending time with his beloved daughters Chyna and Davinity. He was their biggest cheerleader, offering unwavering support, love, and encouragement.

Vincent leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with his loving mother, Helen M. Davis, and his two daughters, Chyna and Davinity, both of Naugatuck. He joins his father, Samuel Davis Jr., who predeceased him, in eternal rest. Vincent will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A celebration of Vincent’s life will be held on Saturday July 19, 2025 at the Mt Olive A.M.E. Zion Church, 82-100 Pearl Street, Waterbury at 11am. Calling hours will be held at the Church from 10am to 11am. The family will receive friends at the church during these hours.
