Viola "Bootsie" Rollinson

Viola “Bootsie” (James) Rollinson, age 66, of New Haven, entered into eternal life on Friday April 14, 2017 at YNHH (St Raphael’s Campus). Born on May 30, 1950 in New Haven, the daughter of the late John and Lula Mae James Sr. Loving wife of Sam Rollinson Sr. of New Haven for 44 years. Cherished mother of Sam Rollinson Jr. of New Haven and LaVerne Ofori of Middletown. Survived by one grandson Isaiah Anderson of Middletown, 3 sisters Lila James, Phyllis James, Charlene (Frederick) Hanley all of Hamden, and one brother John James Jr. of New Haven. Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by one brother Curtis James.

A Celebration of Viola’s life will be held on Monday April 24, 2017 in Colonial, 86 Circular Ave. Hamden at 11 O’clock. Viewing in Colonial from 10-11am. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed at colonialfunerals.com.
