Virgenmina Rodriguez

Virgenmina Rodriguez, also known as Gina or Minin, 80 years old, of Guianca Puerto Rico, passed away on April 3, 2026 at Hamden Rehabilitation surrounded by family. 

Virgenmina Rodriguez was born on September 7, 1946 in Sabana Grande, Puerto Rico to Angel Pacheco and Georgina Alicea. Virgenmina spent her time as a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. She worked as a data entry clerk at Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield until she retired.

 Virgenmina was known for smart, witty comments, straight forwardness and a no nonsense type of person . She enjoyed time with her grandkids Chase and Zuleimy Rodriguez who she helped raise. She also enjoyed dancing to Salsa music and going to the casinos.

 Virgenmina is survived by her children Jesse, Angel, and Mina Rodriguez. As well, grandchildren Chase and Zuleimy Rodriguez. In addition to great grandchildren Izabella, Juliette, and Chase Zaiel. She is also survived by siblings Juana Cortes, Julio Pacheco and Elizabeth Pacheco. Moreover she also had many nieces, nephews and countless other family members. She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. 

A funeral service will be held on Saturday April 11, 2026 from 10:00am - 1:00pm at Colonial Funeral Home 86 Circular Ave., Hamden CT 06514
