Walter Paul Flight, entered into external life on May 26, 2023 at Yale New Haven Hospital. Born November 2, 1948 in New Haven, CT., Predeceased by his father, Albert Walter Flight and mother, Louse Marie Schimmel, both from Nanticoke Pennsylvania.
Walt leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Deborah Flight, a brother-in-law Terry Smiley, a sister-in-law Grace Flight. Three nephews, Peter Flight and Daniel Clark. Jon Smiley and his wife Julianne Smiley, Two nieces Grace Rebel and Catherine Murphy and her husband James Murphy. Great nieces and nephews, David Ginnotte, Crystal Ginnotte, Jennifer Robel, Katie Flight, Lizzy Flight, Lily Murphy, Ethan Murphy, Hunter Smiley and Lane Smiley. And several great great nieces and nephews.
Also predeceased by one sister, Barbara Jean Clark, one brother Norman Edward Flight, and a brother-in-law Harry Clark.
Walt was a good man, loved by his family and liked by all. He made friends easily. He loved Auto racing, camping, fishing and traveling. You will miss by all my love.
Visitation will be on Thursday, June 1, 2023 in Colonial Funerals, 86 Circular Avenue, Hamden, Connecticut from 9-11am. Funeral Services will follow in Colonial starting at 11am. Follow with Full military honors will be held at the Funeral Home. Condolences may be expressed at www.colonialfunerals.com
