William James Hanna

William James Hanna, 75, of New Haven, entered into eternal life on Thursday, January 20, 2022. Born on April 21, 1946 in Williamsburg, SC, the eldest son of the late Buster and Lendy Hanna. Loving husband of the late Mary Lee (Cooper)Hanna of New Haven for forty six years . Loving, devoted and cherished father of Sherman(Tamara) Hanna Of Waterbury Lisa Hanna(Special friend Will) of New Haven Michael Cooper of New Haven Luther (Timothea) Cooper of Northford. Survived by 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 2 sisters and 11 brothers. William was predeceased by his parents Buster and Lendy Hanna, sister Alberta  and brothers Jimmy Lee, Buster Joe, Willie Joe Foster and Buster James.

A Celebration of William’s life will be held at  New Antioch Church Of God, 65 Burban Drive Branford Ct on Monday February 7, 2022 at 11 a.m. Viewing in Church from 9-11 a.m. Interment will be in Centerville Cemetery Hamden Ct. Condolences may be expressed at colonialfunerals.com.
