William S. Rogers Jr.

William S. Rogers, Jr., 58 of New Haven, exchanged time for eternity peacefully on December 8 ^th , 2022.  He was born July 27, 1964, to William S. Rogers, Sr., and the late Jeannette Allen Coe.

William attended New Haven Public Schools and graduated from Wilbur Cross High School in 1983.  He lived for football and was a remarkable player during his high school career.

William leaves to cherish precious memories, his father, William S. Rogers, Sr., his daughter, Vanita Sykes, his son, Linwood Sykes, four brothers, Michael Rogers, Richard Rogers, Bobby Edwards, and Joseph Edwards, three sisters, Lisa Allen, Andria Saunders, and Kimberly Rogers, three grandchildren, Amaya, Milani, and Kaliray, a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

William was predeceased by his mother, Jeannette Allen-Coe, his stepfather, Robert Coe, his grandparents, George & Etta Allen, and Burt & Eleanor Rogers, and his adoptive grandparents, William & Essie Vason.

A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at 9:00 AM at, Colonial Funerals, 86 Circular Avenue, Hamden, CT 06514.  Friends may call Saturday at the funeral home from 8:00-9:00 AM. Interment will be private.
