Yolanda Chapman Jackson

Yolanda Chapman Jackson was born in New Haven, CT on February 5, 1954, to the late Calvin Chapman and Louise Bacote Chapman. 

On Wednesday, November 12, 2025, she closed her eyes and departed this life after a long illness.

Yolanda attended the West Haven public school system and graduated from West Haven High School. She was an employee of Yale University which she served in many capacities over many years.

In her spare time Yolanda was and advent reader and loved to travel. She enjoyed a good party and a good time. She loved life and lived it. She will be sorely missed.

Yolanda was predeceased by her husband Albert (Jack) Clarence Jackson, Jr. whom she was married to for 14 years.

She leaves to cherish her memories two children, Brittney Louise Jackson and Albert (AJ) Chapman Jackson of New Haven, CT. She also leaves one brother Calvin Chapman, Jr. and a stepdaughter Samone Davis. Six grandchildren, Adonis Jackson, Adoree Jackson, Saraea Jackson, Logan Bacote, Mason Bacote, Dondre Greene. She also leaves to cherish her memory her Aunt Ruby Lincoln. Yolanda also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Yolanda was also predeceased by her sister Margaret Bacote and stepson Terrance Lamont Jackson.

A Celebration of Yolanda's life will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at Colonial Funerals, 86 Circular Avenue, Hamden at 11am. Viewing in Colonial from 10am-11am. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed at www.colonialfunerals.com.
